A nice, quiet little campground located just a half-mile from Downtown Golden. Great scenery, a creek and a bike path run alongside the property. Lots of stuff to do in the area, including Golden itself, hiking, cycling, mountain biking, fishing, and tubing.

The campground is kind of small, they really pack them in, so it might seem as if everyone is right on top of each other. The bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities are clean, and the owners are very friendly.

If you are planning on enjoying a little 420 action, you must smoke it in your vehicle.

I can't speak for the RV spots, but the tent spots have a maximum stay of three nights, so if you are looking for something more long term, this isn't the place.

Overall, a charming little place, and we like the location.

(Edit: Be careful and make sure they give you something to hang on your mirror to prove that you are supposed to be there. They did not give us one, and after two days of coming and going freely, on Saturday morning, we were returning from a trip to Camping World, when we were stopped at the park entrance by a city Code Enforcement guy that hassled us like we had stolen something just because we didn't have a mirror hanger.)

(Another edit: Talked to one of the managers this morning. During the summer, maximum stay for RV's is 14 days. You have to stay out a night before you can come back (the tent sites are the same, you have to stay out a night.) However, during the winter, other than four spaces, you can stay in your RV up to three months. This is done on a lottery system because it's very popular.)
