I give the surrounding area 5* and the actual campground 3*. Like most Illinois facilities, it is outdated. Besides that, go there and hike, climb or just take in beautiful Southern Illinois.

Giant city is not just a campground it has tons of trails, climbing walls, and the best bouldering in the Midwest. If you want to climb, hike, hangout, or whatever giant city is beautiful. If your of age the area also has several excellent wineries and take a trip into the makanda boardwalk while your there. Crazy little hippy shops with all kinds of stuff and an old school icecream shop that has great maps and the locals know all the spots to check out and are the nicest people you ever meet.
