Sycamore Springs Park was first open to the public in 1997 and was largely undeveloped. It is a free public park operated by The Clayton Roberson Family Foundation. The park now has 11 shelter houses, many playgrounds, a ball field, baptism area in Little Blue River, a beautiful, just completed chapel, "The Village" (consisting of a school house, playhouse, and town hall), 3 restrooms, and 2 large shower houses with toilet facilities.
In addition there are 36 primitive camping (5 of these have electricity) and 15 RV sites with electric only and 19 RV sites with full utilities. The 15 sites with electric only are in "Down By The River" camping area and are pull through sites of 55 feet with 30 amp service. The 19 full utility sites are in "Whitsitt Woods" and are 55 foot back-in sides in the shady woods with 30 and 50 amp serv.
All facilities are free with the exception of camping. There is no charge to enter the park. Firewood is free for the campers. We are a family park and do not permit alcohol in the park. The park opens at 8:00 AM and is locked at 8:30 PM. Guests in the park have a code to permit them to enter and leave as necessary. We insist that anyone not sleeping in the park be out when we lock the gates at 8:30
