We did not camp here, but did an auto tour up Skylane Rd and spent some time at the Visitor Center as we passed through to TN. The visitor center is very nice and educational, and the staff are quite friendly and helpful. The video was informative and interesting - we learned a lot.

The signs going up said no vehicles over 20 ft. We had our pop-up camper in tow (it is 19.5 ft hitch to bumper) plus our Jeep Wrangler and weren't sure if that was considered 1 or 2 vehicles, but we had no problems whatsoever. I imagine the view from the top is lovely, but it was so thick with fog that you couldn't see 5 ft in front of your face that day. Very cool in another way. The trees and leaves were iced over from the thick fog and just beautiful.

The hiking and camping seems great here - wish we could've stayed longer!

One of my favorite campgrounds. Clean bathrooms and showers.
