Campground Description

The Narrows is a family-friendly campground on Barren River Lake, perfect for water lovers and anglers. Barren River Lake was built in the 1960s for area flood control. It's waters stem from the Barren River, named by early pioneers for it's treeless fields. The open fields were actually created by Native Americans, who burnt sections of woodland, forming grasslands to attract grazing buffalo.
