Great rustic site that feels like camping in the wild.

If you like the woods, quiet, and the rustic camping experience, this CG is for you. 17 miles from Grayling, Canoe Harbor is a rustic campground with vault toilets and hand pump well water. 54 sites are spread out with pine and oak trees. Many of the sites are big enough for a pop-up some sites could even accommodate larger trailer campers. Many fishermen frequent the CG for it has a walking trail to the Ausable River. The CG is inside the Mason tract which is a State owned section of land that runs along the Ausable, so there are many areas to access different locations along the the river. We camped the second weekend in May and the CG was virtually empty. I loved it - will definitely be back!
