A system of well-marked trails through the park provides access to scenic Lake Huron vistas, glimpses of rare wildflowers and the lake shore species. Modern camping, rustic cabins, tents and teepees are all available within the park. The Little Billy Elliot Creek flows through the park and is known for its trout. I stayed here with my fiance for a weekend. The campsites are very secluded and are lined with trees. The campsites look to be right on the lake but in fact you have to drive one mile to the beach to get to the nice part of it. This place was mosquito heaven. Every time of the day, morning, noon and night they were swarming. We stayed at campsite 44 which was probably one of the nicest ones there. We stayed here to make it easier and cheaper to get to Mackinac Island. While the campground was private and quiet we probably wouldn't stay here again.
