Moscow Maples is located alongs side of a busy road and you can hear the traffic throughout. The other side of the campground overlooks swamp and marsh making the mosquitos and view horrible. Campsites are so jammed together that family dinners outside are uncomfortable so eating and cooking inside our RV was better than this.
On the Holiday (Labor Day) campers on the site next to us organized a cornhole tournament, since the campground offered NO activities (a rusty park and small pool for children). At 10:10 pm the owner of the campground came to area where this was going on and instead of reminding everyone that "quiet hours" were @ 10 pm professionally, he began ranting and insulting everyone, threatening that he was kicking everyone's A**es out, while pointing in faces. He continued to demean the adults and threaten campers. Then he looked at me, who incientally did and said NOTHING the entire time...and threatened me for "Looking at Him".
My husband and I were so appalled by the lack of professionalism and the conditions of the campground that we immediately said goodbye to the people we had come up to camp with and packed up and left by midnight. I was in tears from the humilliation as I packed in the dark.
We have camped alot of places both tent and RV...in multiple states...never has either one of us been so disgusted and appalled by a situation...and its a terrible shame because we love camping.
Do not go to this campground...there are MULTIPLE OTHER CAMPGROUNDS in the area (Irish Hills) that are both beautiful and welcoming.
