This has been my favorite state park so far because the sites actually have a little privacy! There were trees all around as well as some low growth to separate the sites in some areas. The beach along Lake Michigan is beautiful and hiking some of the dunes was a lot of fun. People were friendly and it wasn't super noisy like some State Parks seem to be. It books up fast though so you definitely have to plan ahead, but it is worth it

Beach is a little far to walk, but it's big and open. Be sure to walk up the dunes at sunset. you can even see Chicago on a clear day
