Juniper Campground is right at the entrance of the Park and has 3 loops with campsites that are partially shaded by cedar and pine. The restrooms are nice and clean with flush toilets and heat. Two loops are open till late fall. Price is $12.00 per night, with 50% discount for Golden Age passports. Coyotes roam the campsite at night so beware of your pets. When choosing a campsite, stay farther from the road, although there is virtually no traffic during the night on Highway 4, but it can get busy during the day with commuters to Los Alamos.
