.The Jemez Mountains provide the backdrop for this lake. Set in a valley of ponderosa pines along the Rio Cebolla, there is an abundance of wildlife viewing. Enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, and picnicking.

The campground was well taken care of including the toilets. Sites were spacious. Other patrons of the campground were for the most part respectful although during our stay there were a couple different groups that were rowdy and playing loud music. The ranger drove throughout the park during the day but was not present when the other campers were being disrespectful which was unfortunate. Otherwise camp was great although a bit busy.
