Can get noisy on a Saturday night as there are about 50 (or more) sites, and this seems to be a popular campground for families. Sunday night was much less crowded and peaceful. Would recommend sites on lower loop if you want less noise and the ability to set up camp close to the Linville River. Very close to Linville Falls Visitor Center and marked trails. One trail goes down into Linville Gorge, and can be a strenuous climb, but worth being up close to bottom of waterfall.
