We stayed at this campground while traveling along the coast. It was mostly used a base of operations to see nearby attractions. The campground was quite developed for a forest service campground, and seemed to be quite popular. The facilities were good and well maintained. There were several open areas that were available for play. It may have been how we treated it, but while it was nice enough, it didn't have the draw that some of the other coastal campgrounds had. There was only one long trail down to the beach, and if I am going to stay on the coast I want to be right there on the beach. There was one long trail to the lake, but again wasn't real easy. Mostly just kinda felt like a place to sleep rather than an actual attraction. Was a great place to sleep, though, while visiting all the nearby things.
