Campground Description

Large, 7,361 acre state park developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), a New Deal Program created by President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Camping Information: Each campsite is packed gravel and has individual water and electrical hookups. The pull-through sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet, others up to 34 feet.

The campground is convenient to restrooms with hot showers. Six of the 17 sites are waterfront on Lake Juniper, the park's 360-acre lake. A dump station is available for RVs.
An equestrian campground and a boat-in primitive campground is also available.

    Campground Activities

    Boating and Boat Access: A boat ramp provides access to Lake Juniper for private boats with motors no more than 10 horsepower.
    Canoe Rentals: Canoes and kayaks rent for $15/day or $3/hr.
    Boat Rentals: Non-motorized fishing boats rent for $12/day
    Equestrian Camping: The equestrian camping area is located near Lake Juniper and includes central water. Sites rent for $8-9/site/night.
    To make a reservation for equestrian camping, contact the park directly.
    Equestrian Trail: The park's 15 miles of equestrian trails connect to Sandhills State Forest equestrian trails.
    Hiking Trails: Three hiking trails, varying in length, are available at the park.
    Golf: 18 hole course is available at the park.

    Great campground, very relaxing. Loved the waterfront camping, able to go kayaking anytime- spent hours exploring the large lake. Swimming and playground area for kids, waterfront trail, quiet campground site separate from day visitor area. Loved this park, will return again!
