This is a cool campground with some good hiking and horseback riding. I like the campsites with the shelters. They are $5.00 more per night than the open sites but the convenience is worth it.
Sandhills National Wildlife Refuge is a short drive from the campground.
NOTE: As of 4 June, 2010, Mountain Pond is still closed to fishing. I'll update this review as I get further information.
