This is a tough 2,000 foot elevation gain on a rocky mountain path. Be prepared to spend a day hiking out and back.
Along the way you'll hike through dense forests, skirt a beautiful alpine lake, and enjoy the views of the surrounding area.
Trail length: 4 miles

The trail leads through lodgepole pines and Aspen woods up the through the mountains until reaching Sandbeach Lake. The lake sits in a wide open area and has a sandy area along the shore. This is a nice day hike.
