We stayed here in a tent for two consecutive nights in mid-May 2017. Love the hiking trails,. Concession stand is a welcome convenience. We rented a canoe and paddled the springs. Fabulous experience! Not every trail was open because of construction. Every staff member was welcoming and professional. Why are the camp sites so tiny? We put up a tent that sleeps six, and parked our compact car, and barely had enough room. An average-sized RV is too long for the site. Surely with the numerous acres, the campsites could have been average-sized. Water and electric and racoon-proof trash bin at every site. The bathhouse was adequate.

I hiked several different trails this morning. I got there really early before before started entering the park in hopes of some wildlife photo's. I was able to get a flock of Wild Turkeys and one Small Doe. The kayakers were setting up early this morning so that was also a treat to watch.

I have hiked this since I was a kid. There is a fee to get into this park. It is in the forest so bring bug spray. No real challenge to the hike just nature at it's finest. If you like spiders then this is your hike.
