The Big Rock Nature Trail travels from the ridgeline near the lake down into a mountain hollow, then crosses a dividing ridge and returns up Gold Mine Creek passing several small cascades and waterfalls. Wildflowers abound in spring.

    This was Fort Mountain State Park's nature trail. A rocky trail that climbed a little. It was a change from the other trails the park offered. This one had a cascading stream that traveled down the mountain. The trail ran along side the stream.
