This is a great trail for any season! There are two loop trails with a rock Quarry residing on the east loop about 1.5 miles in. Note that you cannot fish here but bring some bread and watch the small and big fish come to the shoreline. They are not shy! During your hike up to the top you come to what used to be Ken Canon overlook. Years ago you could see the valley and the mountain across from you but now the pine trees have grown big and shadows most of the scenery. This is a high use trail although you would not know it as you do not run into many people on the trail. This is a nice romantic hike and a great adventure with a group as well. Just past the driveway to pine log on the right is an Indian information area. This is a nice little place to learn about the history of the area. I highly recommend it! Be sure to bring a topo map for this trail. Happy Hiking!

My girlfriend and I hiked this trail on Sunday and we absolutely loved it! The scenery was fantastic as well as the wildlife. We enjoyed the narrow trails, rocks and steep climbs. Lots of switchbacks. Nice gravel parking lot with large grassy field for afternoon nap, picnic or some football or frisbee time. Trail was not busy and those we did pass had dogs. Overall, a great trail! Planning on going again next weekend.

It's a good local hike very close to both Canton and Cartersville. Great work out. The quarry is a nice spot and it's teaming with fish!

When I went to Reinhardt College, in Waleska, I used to go hike and fish in this area. Beautiful area! Watch out for wild boar as they can be very aggressive.
