Trailhead off I-40 is at exit 451 on the northern side of I-40, just up the gravel road. This trail is actually 33.3 miles, NOT the 26 it says it is, which I came to find out after hiking it! From I-40 towards Hotsprings, it is a LONG uphill at first. Trail goes through downtown Hotsprings literally(marked on sidewalk). Trailhead there is in AT parking lot off Surpentine Ave. Truck was rummaged through while on trip at I-40 end, so don't leave valuables! The balds and vistas are all on the southern half of this trail, the rest of the trail is through the woods with no vistas.
