Blue Heron is the newest Watershed Trail in Greensboro and it offers an extension of the Reedy Fork trail via N. Church Street! The Greensboro Fat Tire Society has been working hard constructing Blue Heron since spring 2009.

The trail skirts along the shore line of beautiful Lake Townsend. There is plenty of variety too as the trail leads you out of the woods for multiple power line crossings. A few sections have deep gullies and dips that are fun to blast through and out of on your bike. Blue Heron flows great and is relatively easy for any rider or hiker to tackle.
Trail length: 3 miles
