    This southeastern Oklahoma lake is full of beautiful scenery, tall spindly pines and craggily slate slopes. These steep wooded hilltops contain the Broken Bow Lake Reservoir, formed after the Corps of Engineers completed the dam on the Mountain Fork River in 1970.
    Dress warmly at night in the fall and take decent wet weather gear. This is one of Oklahoma's most beautiful, enchanting areas.
