Easy, .5 mile nature trail that incorporates a deep-water lake boardwalk for nearly it's entire length. Waterfowl observation along the walk can be premium any time of the year.

Ok, so a .5-mile nature trail, eh? Not much to offer? Well, my original anticipation was wrong. I should have anticipated much more, because I got quite a bit out of this walk. It was awesome!
I was very impressed with the boardwalk. I don't think I have ever seen a fresh-water boardwalk like this. The whole thing was 'in' the lake and over fairly deep water. It had such a unique feel, I wanted to just walk back and forth over it all day; and I would have, if it were not for a couple longer hiking trails at Cheraw that were calling me.
For anyone visiting Cheraw State Park, the Boardwalk Trail is a must-do.
