The 9-mile trail that Singletracks has listed here is actually the 7-mile bike trail at Cheraw State Park. The trail was once 9.2 miles but has been re-routed to the slightly shorter version. Maps, available at Cheraw State Park still show the longer route but you really don't need a map for this trail because it is very well marked and the single-track is easy to follow. This trail is high-and-dry through pine and hardwood forest with only moderate technical difficulty. A good workout can be had, though. There are many tight turns and plenty of ups and downs.
Three shortcuts, which are also well marked, can shorten the ride to 4 miles. The shorter route can still make for a great ride and it can also be a great day hike.
