Section 61 of the AT runs 8 miles from Salt Log Gap (USFS 63) to Fish Hatchery Road. It passes the Seeley-Woodworth shelter along the way.

    Fun and scenic section of the AT. Cool boulder field on the ridge and some sick tree roots down at one of the major creek crossings. Porters Field is a great place to camp and there are a few day hikes/loops you can take off this section of the AT.
