This is the national forest, if you planning on cutting some firewood in tunnel campground think again the camp host would not allow this,he made us pack it up and go outside the campground to cut up some firewood at 3 oclock in the afternoon

This is by far the best campground my family has ever found! It is rustic, yet "inhabited." The wildlife (deer, moose and even an occasional bear) are abundant. There is great fishing...fly fishing in the streams for those who know how and lake fishing nearby for the rest of us. Many short drives to the most scenic places on Earth. The only negative is those darn beetles that are killing the trees, but the Forest Service is attempting to control those little buggers. Highly recommend this camp ground. Just be prepared to drive slowly after you get on the gravel road. Slow is good!
