Not an enjoyable tent camping experience. Facilities are inadequate for a full campground. Each of the two shower facilities has one male, and one female shower. Every night when I went to use the male bathroom I had to wait for a female to finish showering in the male bathroom. The females using the male bathroom were not limited to one family. Additionally on our first night there, a single male hiker got permission to randomly set-up camp near the family tent site. It was really awkward not knowing what this guy was doing since he kept looking over at all the families the entire afternoon. Especially since there was a total of about 12 little kids between the three families camping. It would have been nice if the site manager, who gave him permission to camp for the night, had talked to us at some point, or told him to camp near the manager's site. Overall a miserable trip for my family, we will definitely not be returning to this site.

Best place around for a RV-type camping experience. Not a tent camping place, at all. Be aware that SR 7, a busy, noisy highway, isn't too far either. Inside your camper or RV, it doesn't matter. Wonderful views, if you like river views. The trail up the ridge on the other side of the state route is worth your time, but it is not a loop, and you do climb steeply for awhile.
