We had a great first time tent camping experience with the family (2 adults, 2 kids). The camp site is clean, ample space for two tents (we could have fit a third). My husband said the employee at the store/check in area was helpful and friendly (previous post from some years ago cited staff concerns) Ladies restroom was pretty clean for a campground, and where we were situated there were two bathrooms w/ one shower house close to our site. We were expecting a party atmosphere, as it was a Saturday night, but were surprised that many campers seemed to wind down around 10pm or so. I'm sure being later in the season, many of the young teens/adults are back to school, etc. The scenery is beautiful, gorgeous lake, archery area, nature trails seem to meet the needs of outdoor enthusiasts. We didn't take advantage of the amenities (fishing, hiking, disc golf), but look forward to coming back again soon!

Camped there last June. It was a nice campground. The only downside was the lake, no luck catching fish for us or anyone else we saw that weekend. A lot of seeweed in the lake also, twice it clogged out boat motor.

I was there this past weekend. To much activity going on. Sheriff was in and out. People were arrested or asked to leave because of indecent exposure and having sex in the bath houses. Not a good choice for kids. They also told me at the check in not to eat the fish from the lake as they has a gasoline spill back in may. Probably want to pass on this place.

This campground has the meanest people working there and don't care if you camp there or not. We pulled in and they turned us away because we didn't have a reservation. We ended up at West Branch about 30 miles away. We inquired why this happened at Punderson and they said they didn't know as they had 20 sites left for occupancy. No wonder why the state of Ohio is in the condition it is in. Your money isn't good enough for them. At least not at Punderson. West Branch was the complete opposite. Don't waste your time here. Go elsewhere. The farther away from Cleveland the nicer the people get.

I was pleased with Punderson's camping sites. Nicely wooded and plenty space. The best part of my time at Punderson was fishing at the marina. Nice place to catch fish with the kids and grab an ice cream. The man who works at the marina was so kind and welcoming. Even if you have no interest in fishing or boating, if you are at Punderson, you should stop at the marina, have an ice cream and say hello.

This campground seems to be adored by Cleveland, Ohio public but really the people who work there are flat out mean and unhelpful. They think they are the only campground in the area and have the "I don't care attitude. I would look for another campground in the area as this is probably the worst one. Believe what you read about Cleveland. They all act that way.
