Campground Description

Twisting park and forest roads pass through deep ravines and dense woodlands. Scattered shortleaf and pitch pines growing on the ridges were once a source of pine tar for early settlers, hence the name Tar Hollow. Dogwoods, redbuds and a variety of wildflowers color the hillsides in the springtime. Falls pageant of color is spectacular.

Very nice park. Camp store, beach and putt putt course with game area is very well kept, lots of shady spots. The downfall is there is only one shower house and no flush toilets; it doesn't matter how often they are cleaned it is still gross and to me unsanitary. There are alot of ohio parks like that, if you are in a tent or camper with no bath you need to use the facilities. I wish ohio state parks would all upgrade to flush toilets. Other than that this is a great park, very kid friendly.
