We were here in early spring 2016, the park was fairly busy, especially around the infamous Robbers Cave, which is close to the parking area. However, once we got away from the cave on the Rough Canyon Trail, which is interestingly rough, we saw few people and enjoyed a quiet and challenging trail. We then hooked up to the Cattail Pond Trail and took time for lunch at the pond. Again, it was peaceful and refreshing. On the way back, we took the Lost Lake Trail and ended up on the backside of Robbers Cave. We did run into a bunch of campers at the Lost Lake, but we kept moving and didn't run into another person until we got back to the cave. It was an awesome hike. I think this is a must for anyone wanting to hike in Oklahoma. Overall, we hiked nearly 7 miles and there's plenty more we left undone. Plan on going back in the fall.
