I've lived in the area for 30 years and I didn't realize this was such a great place to walk, hike and/or bike. #oblivious. There are 4 trails, of which, a combination of Blue, Yellow and Pink are what I found to be most interesting. There's an app through Maplets that will help guide your direction. If you aren't familiar with the park, I highly suggest using it. The trails throughout the park spur off, overlap, turn here, turn there and really... if you didn't have the map you'd be kinda lost. That's a plus in some ways because you can build your own hike. The Red Trail is an easy trail and short enough for all ages, but the real winner is the Yellow Trail which follows a lot of the Arkansas River and has some slight elevation changes to make it more challenging. You can plan 1-10 miles, what ever you want. We did this back to back weekends and will start visiting on a regular basis when we can't get out of town.
